K.I.D.S Technical Colleges came alive with a vibrant celebration of diversity during its annual Culture Week. From Monday to Friday, students and staff embraced the theme wholeheartedly, starting the week by showcasing their cultural heritage through traditional attire.

Midweek, the atmosphere shifted to a more casual, athletic vibe. Everyone donned their favorite sportswear, bringing a fun, energetic spirit to the campus. Thursday was a day for the bold and imaginative. Creative and crazy outfits took center stage, with everyone expressing their individuality through quirky and innovative fashion choices. Friday offered a more relaxed vibe, with casual wear dominating the scene. It was a day to unwind and prepare for the grand finale.

Saturday’s main event was a spectacular display of unity and vibrant expression. The day kicked off with a dazzling entertainment session, where different student communities showcased their cultural dances. The Kamba, Luo, Luhya, Turkana, and Kisii communities all brought their A-game, but the Maasai performance stole the show, followed closely by the graceful movements of the Swahili dancers. The international student body even added an extra layer of cultural richness with a captivating South Sudanese performance.

After a heartfelt speech from Miss Arak Nyangok the school president, the highly anticipated fashion show took center stage. Contestants, vying for the coveted titles of Mr. and Miss K.I.D.S Technical College, sashayed down the runway in a variety of outfits, from casual chic to formal elegance, creative flair to dazzling dinner attire. The energy in the room crackled with excitement as the audience cheered on their favorites.

The competition was fierce, but the display of talent and style was nothing short of spectacular.

MC Genje (Simon Lukoye), a talented member of the student council, kept the energy high throughout the event with his charismatic and engaging emceeing. Gladys Mungai (Administrator-Academics), along with other lecturers, had the honor of awarding the contestants, with the crowning of Mr. and Miss K.I.D.S Technical College being the highlight of the day. The winners and runners-up were celebrated with cheers and applause, marking a perfect end to the event.

The evening concluded with a gracious vote of thanks from Mr. Collins Nzakala, a distinguished member of the college board. The entire event was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression of unity, cultural appreciation, and fierce school spirit. It was a week to remember, proving that K.I.D.S Technical College is a vibrant community where everyone feels welcome to celebrate their unique heritage.
